While Jillian takes a trip to Montana to visit her best friend, she ends up having a one night stand with Zack. She's hurt, though, when she wakes up the next morning and discovers Zack left without saying goodbye. So, she puts aside her feelings and flies back home. Months later, Jillian moves to Montana after news that her ex husband's wife is pregnant, something Jillian had been trying to achieve with her ex-husband for years. But while she's in Montana, she sees Zack again, and all the feelings come flooding back. But Zack has his own problems such as trying to take care of his teenage son after his ex-wife abandoned him, and trying to work through his PTSD after the war he fought in. But there's something about Jillian that helps soothe him and he can't seem to keep his hands off of her. Will a one night stand turn into something more?

This is the third book in a series, so while it isn't necessary to read the ones before this, it may help you better understand Jillian and Zack's relationship, because the one night stand happens in the first book, Loving Cara. I really liked Jillian's character—she was quirky, fun and great around Zack's son, and I also liked Zack as a character because while he was often brooding, he was also kind and loving when it came to Jillian. There's a big misunderstanding between Jillian and Zack in the novel, which turns into a big fight, that I didn't think was necessary and it came across as unrealistic, which is one of the things I disliked about it. But the than that, I really enjoyed this one and am definitely going to read more novels by Kristen Proby.

Overall, I recommend Falling for Jillian by Kristen Proby for anyone looking for a sweet contemporary romance.

Falling for Jillian Love Under the Big Sky Kristen Proby 9781476759388 Books Reviews

I absolutely loved Falling for Jillian! The Love Under the Big Sky series has become one of my favorites!

Jillian Sullivan has just moved back to Cunningham Falls, Montana after her marriage failed. Zack King has returned after leaving the Army, picking up at his family's ranch and trying to raise his son. The sparks fly right from the beginning for these two, and it was wonderful experiencing them falling in love- and helping each other to rebuild after previous relationship disasters.

Kristen Proby is one of my favorite authors, and I fell in love with the fictional town of Cunningham Falls and all its citizens. It feels like home and family!
I don’t know where to begin! I don’t know why I am surprised. Everyone of Kristen’s books has grabbed me from the beginning and sucked me right in. I will admit that I was one of those “people” who thought reading was going to end when the Seattle series came to an end…boy was I WRONG! I absolutely LOVED this series. I fell I love with the characters from the beginning. You only got a glimpse of Zack but the intrigue got you. Both were carrying baggage and because of past events were afraid to open up entirely to each other. When Jillian told him her story and that she couldn’t have children it was what she felt was her biggest failure. She felt that he was going to walk away at that point. When Zack told her about his Tattoos and what they represented that was the most he had ever told anyone about his past and his war history. The way they bonded together and the way she brought Seth around was heartwarming. When she found out that she was pregnant it was the happiest day of her life and she felt that Zack was going to be just as happy as she was because after all, they loved each other. What she forgot was how he was treated by his Ex-wife when she got pregnant on purpose. He said horrible things to her hateful things and I will admit that I was ready to jump into my and punch him in the mouth. He deserved everything she threw back at him but then he was being treated badly by her because he got her defensives up because everything he did to her was done by her Ex. When he decided to show her just how much he loved her and enlisted Seth, my heart skipped a beat. Makes you wish you could find someone like that. When she started to spot and became scared and had no one to call and called Cara and Zack showed up causing a commotion, it was so cute. When they found out they were having twins it was so funny. Skip to the end and unfortunately the end of another great series by Kristen she tied everything together into a nice neat bow. How Seth just blurted the name out for the baby girl stopping the brewing argument about the “girl” name and calling Jillian “mom” was unbelievably sweet. I cannot stress enough that you need to read this series. You will not be disappointed.
I'm struggling to find the words to describe how happy my heart is right now. Kristen Proby has a way of writing these wonderful familial series, so you not only fall in love with the characters of each book, but also the family and their interactions.

We had seen Zack and Jill tip toe around each other in the prior two books, and I was excited to dive into Falling for Jillian. These two were so scorching hot together, but just so wounded coming into the relationship that it was as if each was a balm for the other. I absolutely loved everything about them; I laughed, I cried, I swooned, had that warm & fuzzy feeling, and I just can't get enough of these characters. ❤
